about

Most days I walk the dog up the hill behind our cottage. As this is the highest village in Scotland, it’s often submerged in cloud, lashing with rain, blowing a hoolie, snowing a blizzard, just overcast or even, on the odd occasion, sunny. Whatever the elements decree, it’s always dramatic.

Sometimes I’ll have a fictional soundtrack playing in my head, which attempts to represent the experience in a way that could be related to another person.

A few nights ago I dragged out an old piece of music technology, which I hadn’t used for a while, and had a go at capturing a sense of these internal soundtracks.
